You’ll not only see the most famous, breathtaking monuments of Paris, but these places will come alive for you upon hearing their fascinating stories and histories.. Equally as important, you will learn how to experience the city the way the Parisians do: how to enjoy eating and drinking at local cafés, how to get around Paris and where to find the best restaurants and bakeries. You may very well start to feel like a local as you become enchanted by the special neighborhood (“arrondissement”) where your highly-rated hotel is located.
This tour has been uniquely created by Laura, based on her years of travel to France. The ambitious itinerary provides the opportunity to see the most famous historical sites of Paris, and also experience the hidden gems of the local neighborhoods.

- Historic Core of Paris - Learn about the most famous monuments and sites in the very center and oldest part of the city. We will enter inside Sainte-Chapelle, the jewel box of Paris, and walk along the Seine river. Tour includes a café stop for a coffee or tea.
- Eiffel Tower visit, with access by elevator to each level, and afterwards a walking tour of the elegant surrounding neighborhood.
- The gorgeous Luxembourg Garden and St. Germain-des-Prés neighborhood.
- Skip-the-line tour of the Louvre Museum with our private guide.
- Skip-the-line tour of the Orsay Museum with our private guide.
- Journey outside Paris, by private car, to visit a rural, historical village (an enclave for Impressionist artists) with full gourmet lunch. This is a place unknown to most tourists.

Further Important Information
General Information:
- This is a walking tour that is active and involves a lot of walking! This is not a bus tour. The organized morning walking tours on the itinerary are approximately 4 to 5 miles in length. If you choose to continue walking around the City in the afternoon, you could walk an additional 3 to 5 miles each day. A fitness level is required appropriate for the walking tours which requires walking on cobblestones and other uneven surfaces, being able to walk up and down the stairs of monuments and metro stops because elevators or escalators are rare. (There is an elevator in the hotel). The ability to stand is also required as there will be times of standing, either in lines or while listening to tour explanations.
- Full breakfasts a la française are served daily in the hotel’s salon and feature hot and cold items (breads, pastries, fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, cheeses , yogurts, juices and coffee).
- Every day Laura plans a relaxing lunch and dinner. Please join Laura or go out on your own - Laura is glad to help and offer her best recommendations And Laura will be giving you her written list of recommended Paris restaurants.
- Please be aware that hotel rooms in Paris are smaller than in the U.S. The bed in your hotel room will be either double-size or it can be split into two twin beds.
- Your Paris metro (subway) and bus pass will be effective for 7 days starting Monday (the second day of the trip). It is a keepsake which you can re-charge on your next visit to Paris.
- A passport is required for international travel. U.S. Citizens are required to have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond completion of your trip. You are responsible for ensuring your passport is valid for travel to France.
- Tips are already included for our group lunch and dinner cruise, local museum guides and taxis, that are part of the tour.
- Laura is fully covid-vaccinated and boosted. Due to the requirements of the French government, in order to participate in this tour, proof of covid-vaccination and booster is mandatory.
- This tour will follow all the health and safety requirements set by the French government. This means that though our group is covid-vaccinated, it is possible that masks will be required to be worn in all public areas and streets.
What Is Not Included:
- Hotel Monge room cost - estimated cost for 7 nights is $2,600. (Cost will be confirmed when Hotel releases room rates for September, 2023). Your room will be reserved at Hotel Monge by Laura and the cost is paid directly to the Hotel by your credit card. Your room will be a “Superior Double” - the bed can sleep one or two guests,. The bed can also be split into separate twin beds which can allow two “travel buddies“ to share the room cost. [Interesting to note, as of July, 2022, Hotel Monge is currently listed on TripAdvisor as the #8 hotel in Paris, out of 1883 hotels!]
- Airfare. Please contact Laura prior to booking to discuss the best flight options to Paris from your home location.
- Transportation to Hotel in Paris from the Airport (Laura will provide detailed instructions on how to take a taxi).
- Return transportation to Airport after completion of the trip (a taxi ride can easily be reserved for you).
- All meals and beverages (such as wine) not listed on tour itinerary. Typically, guests carry euros to pay for their meal and drinks as part of the groups' bill.
- Tips to hotel staff, such as housekeeping, and for non-tour-included restaurant meals and taxis, are not included and are at your own discretion.
- Trip insurance - highly recommended for your protection in the event something unexpected happens such as having to cancel your trip or a medical emergency during the trip. Laura can provide you with insurance providers from which you can choose.
Cost of Trip and How To Register:
- The trip cost is $1,995 per person (not including hotel and airfare),
- If you are interested in the trip, please contact Laura to find out if there is space available. and to discuss if the tour is a good fit for you. Then, in order to reserve your space, a $250 trip deposit per person is required.
- Please let Laura know If you would like to reserve an additional hotel room night(s),.
How to make payments:
- Preferred - You can mail Laura Junod a check, payable to Voyage Scholar.
- Or you can send payment by Venmo.. Laura's Venmo Business Username is @voyagescholar
- You can also pay by credit card or debit card through a PayPal link that Laura will send you.
Cancellation Policy:
- Your trip deposit is 100% refundable if Laura receives your cancellation by email by 5/31/2023. After this date, the trip deposit is non-refundable.
- The final balance is due in full by 5/31/2023.
- If you cancel on 6/1/2023 or after, your total trip cost becomes non-refundable.
Itinerary Changes:
- Laura will make every effort to operate the trip as advertised. However, if circumstances arise beyond her control, Laura reserves the right to alter the itinerary or make substitutions as necessary..
